Lambie Funeral Home is the epitome of professionalism and in our opinion is everything a funeral home should be, and more. David and Dana Lambie are professional and caring. They are aware of and understand the emotional turmoil you may be experiencing, and methodically walk you through the process of making final arrangements for your loved one. They also inform you of the many little things with which you will likely have to deal administratively, and thinking several steps ahead, tell them to you before you encounter them and then take additional steps to help you deal with them. They were patient and methodical, there was no rush and they carefully listened to and answered every question and concern we had. We honestly do not think we could have found a more caring and easier funeral home with which to work after dealing with the sudden loss of our loved one. It was nice to deal with a couple who obviously are good at and take personal pride in the service they provide to people during their most vulnerable hour.

My father was in hospice care recently. I decided to be proactive and reach out to the funeral home on behalf of my mother, to get an idea of what was available to fulfill my parents wishes. My family had used Lambie Funeral Home 3 times prior for two of my great uncles and my grandmother. The last time was about 10 years ago. After emailing them, I received a phone call from David Lambie to talk to me personally about what we were looking for (cremation, memorial service, live streaming, death certificates, social security and Medicare notifications, paperwork to fly the ashes internationally)and the costs. David was kind and caring. He took his time and explained the processes, step by step. A week and a half later, my father passed away. I called David just after midnight. He was there within half an hour to pick up my dad. The next day, we met with David and worked out the obituary and the rest of the arrangements. He listened to us, and he made thoughtful suggestions. Over the next few days, he was patient and attentive as we edited the obituary and memorial cards several times. He added and edited our picture montage several times as well. He was always patient, and kind and sympathetic. He and his lovely wife, Dana, recommended several restaurants for our post memorial reception. On the day of the Celebration of Life he had someone in the parking lot upon our arrival, ready to help us bring in our pictures, photo albums, and other props. From the moment we walked in the door, David was there and ready to help us set up our memory vignettes. My dad had multiple businesses throughout his life and we set up stations that payed homage to his entrepreneurial endeavors. David went above and beyond. We had family across the country who were not able to fly in for the services. David started the live feed an hour early so our family members could watch the reception before the services and eulogies started. The services and eulogies were heart warming and stirring. At the end of everything, we had so many people approach us and compliment us on the best funeral that they had ever attended. I don't know about you, but I've never been to a funeral that was such a stand out, that I wanted to remark about it to the family. We heard it over and over again. This was all made possible by David & Dana Lambie. When we were leaving, David & Dana had everything ready for us. They had a flash drive of the services, the guest book, the framed picture of my father from the memorial service, and the paperwork we would need to transport the ashes internationally. They were thorough and efficient, warm and caring. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. I would recommend them highly. They are professional, effective, compassionate and a credit to their profession. When you need funeral services, know that these people will handle every detail with the utmost care. David and Dana Lambie are absolutely fantastic!

We have been blessed several times by the care and professionalism of Dana and Dave Lambie, most recently after the passing of a valued friend of sixty years. We were her only “family”, and her funeral was as important to us as that of a relative. Recently we lost a loved one. Since we did not experienced such a sad event we did not have any knowledge what to do. Our worries were gone the moment we meet with David. Providing us with all procedures and what was needed, when the sad day arrived, they took over everything. From then we were frequently informed what was being done, giving us choices and making well informed suggestions everything was well executed to the smallest detail. We are so grateful to the quality of service received by this funeral home that make it possible for us to fulfill our loved one’s wishes and in same time giving us time to grieve and not running around getting things done. We are grateful to David and Dana for making this hard time seem so easy. They literally took care of every detail so my wife only had to focus on the grieving process. We have had unfortunately quite a few family funerals that we had to do all the run arounds and then worry if everything would arrive on time and correctly. This was the first time that we didn't feel already burned out before the funeral. It is NOT only their business but their heart as well. David Lambie has helped me through the years many times with the arrangement of family funerals. He eases much of the burden at a time when it is even hard to think straight. He walks you through the planning like a friend would. Giving his best advice and helping you to keep costs down. He helps you like a friend would and as you have questions he is there to answer them. You never are waiting an extended time for his call back. You can tell right away that he is not there to take advantage of a crisis situation but instead he is there to help you and guide you through your time of grief. You wont find any better. I used his funeral service on many occasions and recently told him I consider him not a funeral director who is a friend but a friend who happens to be my funeral director. David came out with a flag draped stretcher to place this vereran's body on. Because Dana & David knew our plans I had nothing left to do. We had never lost someone close to us, so this was our first time planning a funeral service and I have to say that David and Dana Lambie really took a load off our shoulders. Due to COVID, we had to do a private service and broadcast via Zoom and everyone who attended virtually, many who were overseas, had nothing but great things to say about how organized and nice everything looked. My sisters and I had a lot of questions and at no time did we feel like we were a burden or bothering Dana and David. They were always available to answer our questions and they guided us through the entire planning process. The day of the service everything went as expected and there was nothing that we needed to worry about. We recently lost our Mom. Since we lived in the neighborhood where Lambie is located growing up, she admired the beautiful home it is and expressed the desire to be in there “someday.” When she entered hospice, it was suggested to contact a funeral director. I knew where to call to fulfill my Mom’s wish. I can’t say enough about how kind and understanding David and Dana Lambie are. At a time when you are in a surreal state, it was comforting to know my family could rely on them to take such wonderful care of our Mom. When questions or issues arose, they were right there to answer those questions and to make our sad days a little easier. We lost my grandmother suddenly and I had no clue where to start with the funeral process, especially with the grief I was under. David and Dana were absolutely amazing, with their empathy and genuine care. They helped me with the entire process from start to finish and even more after. David went immediately and picked up my grandmom, he let me know that she was there and safe which really put my mind at ease. They both helped me with the all the paperwork for the certificates, obituary and mass cards. Dana was extremely helpful with the mass cards helping me with the quotes and pictures. They both were available if I had any questions 24/7. David and Dana helped me with the keeping everything in the budget I had to work with but also making sure it was absolutely perfect. I received calls to check on me during the process and follow up cards and brochures for help during the grievance. I can't put in words how personable, professional and supportive the Lambies are. Recently the Lambie Family buried our mother, we could not of asked for better service! Before , during and after David Lambie answered all our questions and was very helpful anytime of day or night (and we called a lot). Our mother looked beautiful they did an amazing job! We would high recommend Lambie Funeral home for your loved ones. When you are going through a hard time such as we did it was great having someone like David and his family with patience and great knowledge to take time and explain everything. David worked with our budget and our needs. Our mother was cremated but first we had a lovely viewing and a beautiful service. We used the Lambie funeral home for both my mother's and father's burials. In both cases, the Lambie family was very compassionate and supportive throughout the planning process and during the funeral services. They somehow managed to make a very difficult time for me and my siblings bearable. In addition, since my father's death in February, we've encountered difficulty dealing with estate issues due to complications with the death certificate issued from South Carolina where my father was visiting at the time of his passing. The Lambie's continued to be very helpful and supportive throughout the lengthy process to correct the clerical error. A family-run business that treat you like family. I adore these people. I had the misfortune of losing a lot of my family and we turned to Lambie's because they were in the neighborhood, but we really didn't know a lot about them back then (talking twenty years ago). We were amazed. They took care of EVERYTHING and handled everything smoothly. Loved ones who had an open casket service were done beautifully, and looked like themselves. Loved ones who were closed casket and loved ones who were cremated were handled with the up most care. The funeral home directors were extremely compassionate, and comforting. We have turned to them time and time again, and ALWAYS been treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. They have always taken care of each and every family member as if it were one of their own. And they aren't too busy to answer questions, or help you figure out things you had not considered. They even remembered one of the first people I had to bury nineteen years ago, everything from the whole name, to how he was buried. I had people die suddenly, with no plans or preparation for it, and Lambie came through and made sure they were taken care of, with the love and respect they deserved. I also had members who were not treated right at other funeral homes, and turned to Lambie. They were able to step in and make things right for that family member, helping to heal us after the ordeal of the first place. If you ever have to suffer loss, these are people you can trust and turn to in your darkest hours.

I was very upset with the sudden loss of my father. David Lambie handled the funeral arrangements for my friend's parents when they passed. I called him to find out what I needed to do. He offered to come to my house and discuss my wishes. He handled everything quickly and efficiently. He took the burden of the whole situation off my shoulders with outstanding professionalism and kindness. I was surprised how little I had to do. I would highly recommend using Lambie Funeral Home if you have a need for these services.

Planning a funeral is never pleasant, but working with David allowed my family the comfort and security that we needed. Always professional, his manner and accommodating style, made the process seamless and worry-free. He and his wife make themselves available at all times, and rarely does one get a voicemail when you call.
