William Waters

William Stephen Waters, 61 of Philadelphia, passed away on June 2, 2023 after a long illness. William was known as "Billy" by friends and family. Billy was a 1979 graduate of Philadelphia's Abraham Lincoln High School. Billy was a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Monty Python, and liked flying squirrels when he was young. His love for all things sci-fi was contagious and often resulted in lively discussions with family and friends.

Billy held a variety of jobs in his life including a brief stint in the Air Force and communications clerk at Sunoco, but was best and most loved at being a curmudgeon who liked cats and loved books. He had aspirations of moving to Texas where it is "warmer than Philly" (his words) to spend his retirement years.

Billy is survived by his mother, Gertrude Waters, sister Trudy Waters (Betsy Warner), sister Lydia Christnot, brother Michael Waters and nephews Keith Christnot and Andrew Tomassini. He was predeceased by his father William James Waters and brother Andrew Waters.
