Ruth B. Bussmann Obituary (1917 - 2018)

Ruth B. Bussmann (nee Smith) age 101 passed away peacefully on December 21, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Bussmann. Ruth is the loving mother of Joseph Bussmann (the late Marie (Lois Bowman)) and Patricia L. Buchanan (William). She will also be sadly missed by grandchildren Amy Ruth Bussmann (James), Brian Buchanan (Christine), Joseph Bussmann, Jr. (Patricia), Leanna Ridgway (Kevin), Ian Buchanan (Lauren), great grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Bryan, Michael, Kelly, Ava, Maddox, Joseph, III, Kieran, Patrick, other relatives and dear friends. Ruth and her sister owned Ivy Card Shop in Feltonville and retired from Girard Bank after 35 years. She was a long time member of the former Holmesburg Presbyterian Church, and present member of Mayfair Presbyterian Church. Ruth enjoyed traveling, the beach in Ocean City, roller coasters, taking adventures and but the one adventure on her wish list she never completed was skydiving. Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lambie Funeral Home 8000 Rowland Avenue (At Rhawn Street) and Friday morning December 28, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mayfair Presbyterian Church 3323 Tudor Street Philadelphia. Her service will follow at 11:00 am at the Church. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ruth's name to The Salvation Army 1920 E. Allegheny Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19134 would be appreciated.
