Robert “Bob” Bittinger, Jr.

Robert Harry Bittinger, Jr., known affectionately by all who loved him as Bob, was a remarkable soul whose love for life could only ever be surpassed by his love for his family. He was born on September 12, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his journey through life was a testament to his resilience and dedication.

Bob was a masterful mechanic, a career he passionately pursued until his retirement in 2022. His acumen for mechanics was not confined to business hours; he found joy and tranquility in working on cars during his leisure time. Bob was a witty man, often lightening the mood with his humor and his unique way of seeing the world. A dedicated Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan, he found happiness in watching games, frequently accompanied by a cold Yuengling beer. Bob's love for his city was only rivaled by his love for his family, which was always at the forefront of his life. A loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, Bob's family was his greatest pride and joy.

Bob leaves behind a loving family that includes his wife, Kimberly Bittinger (nee Laskowski); his mother, Barbara Bittinger; his children, Robert (Christina) Bittinger, Brian (Jessica Krum) Bittinger, Shane (Stephanie Petroff) Bittinger, Angela (Christian Fischer) Bittinger, and Nicholas Bittinger; his sisters, Barbara Bittinger and Bonny McCloskey, and his grandchildren, Bella and Robert. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bittinger Sr.

Relatives and friends may greet Bob's family on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30 pm. Interment will be private.
