Leonard Budwell

Leonard J. Budwell, affectionally known by some as "The Chief," age 73, passed away on November 21, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou Budwell (nee Craige) for 50 years. He was the loving father of James Budwell and his wife Bridget, Jill Morrison and her husband Richard. He was a proud and loving grandfather to his grandchildren Max Ryan, Seamus, Daniel, Quinn, Addison, and Regan who will miss him but have many wonderful memories of Pop Pop. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Linda Franks and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Lenny was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and retired as a Lt. in the Philadelphia Fire Department after many years of service in a job he loved well and never considered work. He was an avid golfer, Philadelphia Phillies fan, enjoyed spending time with his favorite hosts on their deck in Sea Isle City, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. All those who knew him will miss him dearly.

Relatives and Friends are invited to greet his family, Monday, November 28, 2022, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at St. Christopher R.C. Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11:30 am. A private service with military honors will take place at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
