Edwin Jewell

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Edwin Norman Jewell, affectionately known to many as Eddie, on September 14, 2026. Born on December 21, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Eddie's zest for life, his funny, loving, and reliable character, and his humble nature left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

Eddie was a steadfast pillar of strength and support. His dedication was evident in his long tenure as a machine operator at American Paper, where he made a significant impact. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A true Philadelphian, Eddie was an avid supporter of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for his family. His dedication to his family was unwavering, always ready to lend a hand, share a joke, or offer a word of advice.

Eddie was the beloved husband of Karen Jewell, and the proud father of April Unterkoefler (Steve), Eddie Jewell, Jr. (Leanne) and David Jewell (Samantha). He was a cherished grandfather to Steven, Jonathan, Nichole, Alyse, David, Kevin, and Khloe. Eddie was predeceased by his son Eric Jewell. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and all those who had the opportunity to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 PM at Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136. A memorial service will follow at 7:30 pm. We invite you to join us in celebrating Eddie's life and to share in the love and laughter he brought into our lives.
