Edward Mackey

Edward Joseph Mackey, Jr son of George and Dorothy Higginbotham of Mayfair died suddenly on October 5th 2026. He is survived by his loving family Joan, Kelly, Cheryl, Karen, brother-in-law's Patrick Walsh, David Kidd and his niece Chris Hauck along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eddie loved all the Phillies Sports teams. He enjoyed playing his playstation, riding his bike and wheelchair around the neighborhood and also his music. Barry Manilow and Stevie Wonder were among his favorites. He participated in the Pennsylvania Special Olympics, winning 2 Bronze and 1 Silver Medal. His most favorite thing to do was talking on the phone. Anyone who knew him knows his favorite saying was "not much". He always had a smile on his face and was not afraid to tell you what he thought.

We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with Mom and Dad and is now watching over us all with them. He will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19136. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. Eddie will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery.
