Alban Franklin Ventour Obituary (1948 - 2020)

SGT. ALBAN FRANKLIN VENTOUR was born in Grenada, West Indies. He was the son of the late Lloyd and Winnifred Ventour and former member of the United States Army and the Philadelphia Police Department passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020. During his growing up years, he had a passion for sports such as cricket, playing football, pitching marbles etc. His favorite collection was the sports memorabilia, comic books and especially books regarding to war fighting. As a young man growing up, Alban would buy himself toy guns with running too and fro to each corner of the house pretending an enemy is somewhere hiding, this was his childhood favorite playtime. Alban left Grenada in the early 70's to further his studies in Accounting in the United States of America. He received many awards and had worked with several companies. He later signed up with the United States Army and the Philadelphia Police department. Sgt. Alban Franklin Ventour was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. Left to mourn his four children: Tamika, Keisha, Stephanie and Alana. Sisters: Veronica, Ermyntrude, Joan, Louisa and Louise Brothers: Godfrey and Gordon Sister-in-Law: Valarie Ventour Brother-in-Law: Keith Baptiste and Cosmos Aird Aunts: Hildred Welch and Chrissy Depardine Uncle: David Welch Many nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention including the Ventour, Phillips, Pierre, Dottin, Frank, Noel, Govan families. His long time friend Albert Joseph, Cecil Baptiste, Geraldine Lucas and Ann Thomas. The late Sgt. Alban Franklin Ventour will be laid to rest at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
